Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 425F.
  2. Roll out pie crust into a 13 “round.
  3. Press into a 10” tart pan with removable bottom.
  4. With a fork prick the bottom of tart and freeze 15 minutes until firm.
  5. Whip butter, almonds, flour and sugar until fluffy.
  6. Add egg, and rum, whip until light and fluffy.
  7. Spread evenly in cooled tart shell and refrigerate.
  8. Drain and slice pears thinly.
  9. Arrange on top of tart.
  10. Bake 10 minutes then reduce oven to 375 and bake 25-35 minutes until browned.
  11. Heat jelly with 1 Tablespoon water until melted.
  12. Brush pears with glaze. Cool.
